and Armenians in line

Meskhetians are deported from Krasnodar Krai last year. This figure is
double for year 2002. Kurds and Armenians are in line for deportation.

The Russian newspaper
Izvestiya on March 28, 2002, have informed about the migrants deported
from Kuban. Last year it was 6,5 thousand. Meskhetian deported from Krasnodar
Krai, in 2002 is double. Together with them will be deported Kurd-yezids
and Armenians. On March 27, 2002 the legislative assembly of Krasnodar
Krai have passed the law regulating local migration. According to the
received documents local militia since April 1 of the current year will
form filtration camps.

Union of Georgian Repatriates Tiflis office informs that till now only
source of the incomes of the majority of Meskhetian families in Kuban
was the crop from rented plot of land.
According to a source,
the Krasnodar Governor Aleksandr Tkachev have ordered: not to give in
rent plots of land to Meskhetians. All plots of land, that Meskhetians
have in rent, should be taken away from them till the April, 20, 2002.
The source informs, that this discrimination measure is distributed absolute
to all Meskhetians, living in Krasnodar region, despite temporary or constant
registration, even despite the Russian citizenship. Agency
