and her husband to an unknown fate.

Russian sniper confesses to accidentally killing

Russian Interfax news agency reports that a private in the Russian
Army, contract soldier Fedor Voronin, has confessed to accidentally
killing Apti Khakiyev, the deputy interior minister of Ingushetia,
a representative of the Ingush Interior Ministry reported on Tuesday.
"The serviceman elaborated that he had been hunting birds.
He accidentally hit the car carrying the deputy interior minister,"
the source said. The incident took place at about 16:00 on Sunday.
As a result of the shot at his car, Deputy Interior Minister Apti
Khakiyev was seriously wounded and died on the way to hospital.

Kavkaz Center News Agency reports that Monday action in Kirova township
tolled 2 Russian military invaders. Same day action blasted a Russian
military UAZ type vehicle and exed 3 Russian soldiers. Early Monday
morning action by Dishny-Vedeno tolled 8 Russian soldiers and pro-Russians.
More than 10 of them are wounded. 3 Chechens are wounded in this
action.

| 14 HOUSES DESTROYED IN CHECHNYA
BY LANDSLIDE |

Fourteen dwelling houses and two kilometers of the gas pipeline are
destroyed by a landslide in the village of Zandak, in Nozhai-Yurt
district. The landslide occurred between four and five hours in the
afternoon. The landslide threatens another 36 houses, and altogether
300 dwelling houses are now in the zone of a possible emergency situation.
250 people have been evacuated from the calamity area. The greater
part of the evacuated (220 people) have found refuge in their relatives'
houses, and 30 are accommodated in the local school. All of the evacuated
are supplied with foodstuffs and medicines.
