Bundestag's Human Rights Committee Member Christa Nickels stated in Geneva
that Russia is conducting a criminal activity in the sovereign Chechen
Republic of Ichkeria. German Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper writes that
speaking in Geneva yesterday Christa Nickels stated that the current situation
in Chechnya is a catastrophe. Calling on the United Nations Human Rights
Commission, Christa Nickels asked immediate steps against the criminal
activity of Russia. Christa Nickels further stated that The United Nations
must act against the type of war the Russian militarism is conducting
in Chechnya. The Commission is going to consider the case today and an
accusing decision is expected by support of several parliamentarians like
Miss. Nickels. Agency
