Trud interviews Raul Hacimba:
|
|
01.01.2004
Russian newspaper Trud held an interview with Raul Hacimba in Sokhum
and asked him about Georgian military intentions. Raul Hacimba stated
that: "Georgian presidential election is an internal matter
of Georgia and it makes no difference for Abkhazia. Abkhazia is
only concerned with the continuation of peace process with its neighbor,
Georgia. We have regular Thursday meetings in Gal region with the
United Nations representatives and Russian Peacekeeping Command.
We are regularly challenging the Georgian militarist views with
our peace offers and invite them to common sense to avoid the grave
consequences of war. We are hoping that international community
will not permit any aggression. We are pleased of the peace efforts
of The United Nations and The Russian Federation. Georgian side
must recollect the situation in year 1992 and realize that things
have much changed since then. Abkhazia is ready to any military
challenge. It is impossible to defeat the will of a Nation."
