CAUCASUS FOUNDATION

The Caucasus Foundation is a non-profit Nongovernmental Organization, carrying out several activities for preserving and fostering socio-cultural relations of the Caucasians living at diasporas or at Caucasus.

To ensure this goal;

It publishes books and translates works that cast light upon the Caucasian history as well as files, reports and periodicals about current events on Caucasus and social-cultural activities of Caucasians living at diasporas.

It safeguards the traditions, folklore, music and other artistic values that the Caucasian Peoples living at Caucasus and diasporas have kept alive until now. Therefore, it engages in some activities and supports to let these distinctive values, which show vividness and wealth of a democratic society, live more vigorously and to achieve widespread awareness of them.

Within different periods, It undertakes various enlightening and informative conferences, seminars and similar organizations on geopolitics, socio-economic and strategic structure of Caucasus for concerned and distinguished people. Furthermore, it takes part actively in the conferences about Caucasus at domestic or international levels. On the other hand, It organizes or participates the broadcasting programs about Caucasian matters at different TVs and radios.

It provides due service with its library and archive collections for the researchers interested in Caucasus

One of the main projects of the Foundation is to collect documents from Ottoman archives in Turkey and in other countries in preparation to a Caucasian history based on original documents. In the process of collecting those manuscripts, they are transcribed to be ready for the use of academic research purposes.

The Caucasus Foundation supplies humanitarian aids to the different Caucasian Republics with respect to their needs. Meanwhile, It carries out aid programmes for the civilian people to meet their fundamental needs who are forced to leave their homelands because of the war and migrated to the surrounding lands.

Furthermore, The Caucasus Foundation broadcasts daily news in four languages on Internet by its well-organized agency named Agency Caucasus that was created for transferring information of current problems of Caucasia to the public opinion all over the world. The Agency obtains its news from independent and primary sources.

With all above its goals and activities, The Caucasus Foundation is progressing to be a centre of information, documentation and activities regarding Caucasian matters in co-operation with local (in Turkey) Caucasia related NGOs, International Governmental Organizations (IGOs) and other International NGOs to contribute to the Caucasian stabilization in order to let the Caucasians be able to live in a safe and secure environment.
